Pricing & Quotes

Dual exhaust kits range from $800–$2,400 in Aluminized Steel and $1,200–$2,800 in 304 Stainless Steel depending on your vehicle. Most standard muscle cars (Chevelle, GTO, Charger, Camaro, etc.) are $900 aluminized / $1,300 stainless. Lincoln Continentals (1961–69) are our premium tier. Standard single exhaust kits start at $700.00 in Aluminized Steel and $1,000.00 in 304 Stainless Steel (with stock muffler). Some older/pre-war vehicles start at $625.00 aluminized / $925.00 stainless. Exact pricing is on each product page at classicexhaust440.com.
Yes — 304 Stainless Steel kits are typically $200–$400 more than the equivalent Aluminized Steel kit, depending on the vehicle. Stainless also carries a lifetime warranty vs the 6-month warranty on aluminized.
For vehicles with built-in resonator options (Cadillac, Buick, full-size Pontiac): +$250 for aluminized, +$400 for 304 stainless. For all other vehicles (standalone add-on): $125 for single exhaust systems, $250 for dual exhaust systems.
Resonator pricing depends on your vehicle. For Cadillac, Buick, and full-size Pontiac vehicles, resonator options are built into the product and add $250 (aluminized) or $400 (stainless) over the base price. For all other vehicles (Dodge, Ford, Plymouth, Chevrolet, etc.) resonators are a standalone add-on at $125 for single exhaust or $250 for dual exhaust.
Yes! Pipes-only kits are available and are approximately $100 less than the full kit price. Single exhaust pipes-only: $600 aluminized / $800 stainless. Dual exhaust pipes-only: base dual price minus $100. Call us at 440-466-5460 or visit the product page to select this option.
Mufflers only are $325.00 + $40.00 shipping. However, we strongly recommend checking your pipes first — grab channel-lock pliers and try to squeeze the pipe. If it caves in, the pipes are too deteriorated and you need the full kit, not just mufflers.
Our "Protect My Package" shipping insurance add-on is $60.00. We strongly recommend it for stainless steel kits.

Materials & Warranty

Aluminized Steel is our budget-friendly option — great durability, 6-month warranty, lead time 1–3 weeks. 304 Stainless Steel is our premium option — non-magnetic, will not rust, lifetime limited warranty, lead time 3–5 weeks. Both are built to the same OEM-exact bend patterns.
Our pipe is genuine 304 series stainless steel — non-magnetic and will not rust. Our mufflers are 409 series stainless steel, which is slightly magnetic and may develop very slight surface rust on the exterior over time, but will NOT corrode through. This is the same standard used by premium exhaust manufacturers.
The pipes will not rust — they are 304 stainless steel. The mufflers are 409 stainless and may develop slight surface rust on the exterior over time due to heat and weather, but they will not corrode through. This is completely normal for 409-grade stainless mufflers.
Our standard pipe is built to OEM specifications. We also offer select 14-gauge builds for certain applications. Pipe diameter is typically 2-1/4 inch for most applications. Call us at 440-466-5460 if you have specific gauge requirements.
Aluminized Steel kits: 6-month limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. 304 Stainless Steel kits: LIFETIME limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Warranty applies to the original purchaser on the original vehicle only.
Warranty is voided by: improper installation or modifications (cutting, welding, wrapping), use of aftermarket headers, oversized pipe requests, misuse or abuse, collisions or accidents, damage from chemicals or salt, and inaccurate vehicle information provided at the time of purchase.
Contact our team at sales@classicexhaust440.com or 440-466-5460. You will need to provide your name, phone number, order details, and photos documenting the issue. We will issue an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number — do not send the product back without an RMA.
Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unmodified and undamaged. All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. The refund process takes approximately 3–4 weeks once the return is received and inspected.
Due to the custom nature of stainless steel fabrication, we do not offer refunds on stainless steel purchases under any circumstances. However, if any pipes were incorrectly fabricated, we offer complimentary re-bending provided you are using OEM manifolds and accurate vehicle information was given at purchase.

Mufflers, Resonators & Options

We offer four muffler options on most kits: Stock Muffler (OEM factory tone, base price), Turbo Muffler (+$80, deeper Flowmaster-style tone), GlassPak Muffler (+$80, classic aggressive glasspack sound), and Cherry Bomb Muffler (+$80, performance cherry bomb tone). Pipes-only (no muffler) is also available at $100 less than the stock muffler price.
The Turbo Muffler produces a deeper, fuller tone similar to Flowmaster mufflers — a popular choice for muscle car enthusiasts who want more sound without being over the top. It costs +$80.00 over the stock muffler price.
Our Turbo Muffler upgrade produces a Flowmaster-style deep tone. If you're looking for that Flowmaster sound, select the Turbo Muffler option — it adds $80.00 to your kit price.
The GlassPak Muffler delivers a classic glasspack exhaust sound — more aggressive and raspy than the stock or turbo option. A great choice for hot rods and builds where you want that raw classic sound. Adds $80.00.
The Cherry Bomb Muffler provides a performance cherry bomb exhaust tone — bold and aggressive. This option adds $80.00 to the base kit price.
Any muffler upgrade — Turbo, GlassPak, or Cherry Bomb — adds $80.00 to the base kit price, for both aluminized and stainless steel systems.
Yes! If the original muffler for your vehicle is no longer being manufactured, we can build it from scratch. This is one of the unique advantages of our in-house fabrication process. Call us at 440-466-5460 to discuss.
Resonators reduce exhaust harshness and rasp, giving you a fuller, smoother exhaust tone. They are highly recommended for customers who want a great exhaust sound without excessive loudness or raspiness — especially on dual exhaust builds.
Yes! The most effective solution is adding resonators. Resonators significantly reduce harshness and rasp while maintaining a great exhaust note. For Cadillac, Buick, and full-size Pontiac: check your product page for built-in resonator options (+$250 alum / +$400 SS). For all other vehicles: add our standalone Resonator(s) Upgrade — $125 for single exhaust or $250 for dual exhaust.
Yes! We can sell you resonators separately. They require some installation work to integrate into your existing pipes — your shop will need to cut in and weld them. Call us at 440-466-5460 to order. Aluminized dual resonators: $250. Stainless resonators: $400.
Yes, standard clamps and universal hangers are included with most kits. We also offer a Universal Heavy Duty Clamp/Hanger Kit upgrade as an add-on: +$45 aluminized or +$90 stainless for single exhaust; +$70 aluminized or +$145 stainless for dual exhaust.
Yes, partial kits are possible. We can build individual sections like front pipes, tailpipes, or H-pipe only. Please call us at 440-466-5460 so our team can discuss exactly what you need and provide accurate pricing.
We build H-pipes only for vehicles that came with them from the factory as original equipment. We do not build custom H-pipes for vehicles that were not factory-equipped with one.
No — we build exclusively to OEM factory specifications. X-pipe configurations were not original factory equipment, so we do not offer them. We do build H-pipes, but only for vehicles that came with an H-pipe from the factory.

Lead Times, Rush & Pickup

Aluminized Steel kits: 2–4 weeks. 304 Stainless Steel kits: 3–5 weeks (complex builds can take up to 8 weeks). Rush Delivery (Full Throttle): ships in 3–4 business days with the expedited add-on.

Shipping, Returns & Issues

Our kits ship via freight carrier (UPS Ground or freight service) due to the full-length exhaust pipes. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your destination zip code.

If we fabricated something incorrectly and you are using OEM manifolds with accurate vehicle info, we will re-bend the pipes at no charge. If modifications to factory components caused the fitment issue, corrections may be the customer's responsibility.

Fitment & Vehicles

We handcraft OEM-replica single and dual exhaust kits for classic vehicles built between 1919 and 1980. Every kit is built in-house in Madison, Ohio using original factory bend patterns. We build the pipes in our shop and source mufflers from trusted third-party suppliers.

Yes — our kits are designed to work with OEM (factory) exhaust manifolds. Using aftermarket headers will require you to modify the system and voids our fitment warranty. If you have headers, modifications to fit the system become your responsibility.

We can build with 2.5" pipe, but we do NOT recommend it. With oversized pipe, we cannot pre-jig the H-pipe crossover at our shop — it must be installed on the car. We also cannot guarantee fitment. Oversized builds are sold AS-IS with no fitment warranty.
1969 Camaros have tailpipes that dump toward the rear of the car. 1967 and 1968 Camaros dump straight down toward the ground. Our kits match the factory spec for each specific year.
Our kits are designed for bolt-on installation — built to original factory bend patterns so they align with your vehicle's factory mounting points. We strongly recommend installation by a reputable exhaust or restoration shop. Minor tweaks may occasionally be needed, which is normal for handmade OEM-replica parts.

No — catalytic converters are completely outside our scope. We build exhaust systems from the manifold connection back and do not touch emissions equipment.

Yes! We build for 1970–1974 Plymouth Barracuda and Dodge Challenger (E-body). These are Tier 4 complex dual systems — pricing starts at $1,200 aluminized / $1,450–$1,500 stainless. We also carry stainless exhaust tips specific to these vehicles.

Yes! We build for 1967–1979 Pontiac Firebird and Trans Am. Note that the Firebird (1967–1974) uses a transverse muffler configuration, which is a different style than standard mufflers. For 1977–1979 Trans Am, we also carry chrome splitter exhaust tips. 1980–1981 Trans Am is post-1980 and outside our range.
